TAMIU Annual Report 2021

UNIVERSITY EMPLOYEE GIVING GROWS; HELPS SUPPORT TAMIU STUDENTS TAMIU faculty and staff have once again generously donated over $72,900 to support students in this year’s #VivaTAMIU Faculty and Staff Giving Campaign – and set an impressive, eight percent increase in total employee giving over last year. Giving by Annual Campaign donors increased over 12 percent from last year, totaling 406 donors. The #VivaTAMIU Faculty & Staff Challenge celebrates and encourages giving from within. To date, TAMIU employees have given over $1,325,000 in student support. Rosanne Palacios, TAMIU vice president of Institutional Advancement, explained the Campaign is an annual drive with friendly competition. Offices and department colleagues strive for 100 percent participation by encouraging team members’ participation. “We are grateful to all the TAMIU employees who participated in this year’s #Viva TAMIU Campaign,” Palacios said, “Once again, faculty and staff have shown how much they care for our students and how they ‘Go Beyond’ by giving to the various areas of need they feel most passionate about.” Full-time donors were feted with a #VivaTAMIU Fiesta in the Sue and Radcliffe Killam Library’s Helen Richter Watson Gallery.
