UNIVERSITY NEWS DIGITAL OUTREACH EFFORTS AT TAMIU REACH MILESTONE +1M SOCIAL MEDIA FOLLOWERS In an age ruled by hashtags, video views, and comments, TAMIU is truly making its mark on the digital landscape. This year’s digital marketing efforts reached a milestone of well over 1 million social media followers through the University’s primary social media channels: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube. This was made possible through both organic and paid digital campaign efforts. Campaign efforts were crafted in-house, with artwork and content handled internally. The multi-channel digital campaign content ranged from program and event promotion to amplifying registration efforts. Additional components include sharing campus, student, and faculty accomplishments through various interactive means. These accomplishments were shared through various formats including well over 500+ social media posts ranging from in-feed and Stories posts, Reels, Tweets, LinkedIn updates, YouTube videos, and other social media-based opportunities. Video, a vital component of the digital media experience, has garnered 129 hours watched on YouTube and over 10,000 minutes viewed on Facebook and Instagram. In total, both social media channels have resulted in over 36,000 views of video-related content. “In addition to our traditional outreach means, we’re going where our audiences live: on social platforms that encourage community and help to affirm and reaffirm an affinity with the University. Our in-house social media manager, Christine Rojas , does a remarkable job in sharing the University’s story through compelling engagements,” said TAMIU PR director Steve Harmon .
