NEA-FUNDED “THE LIVING MURAL’ NOW AT HOME IN DOWNTOWN LAREDO “The Living Mural” is now a part of downtown Laredo. You might recall that TAMIU art faculty members Josias Figueirido and Emily Bayless were the recipients of a grant for the mural from the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA). The colorful mural, created with student research associates, is located on the exterior wall surrounding the Border Heritage Museum, and depicts Laredo’s rich and vibrant culture and history.
