The A.R. Sanchez, Jr. School of Business (ARSSB) Internship Program is committed to having a more active role in placing our students in positions where they are going to be mentored by our business leaders. Our objective is to have our students gain real-world experience through hands-on learning while creating lasting partnerships with different institutions and organizations on an on-going basis.
Internships benefit students, internship provider, and ARSSB. Our goal is to have our students succeed and graduate with a skills-set that will make them competitive in their field of study. The benefits that the participating organization/institution obtains, comes in a variety of forms:
The Internship Program credits three semester hours applicable to most of ARSSB´s degrees. For students to be eligible and participate in this program, undergraduate students must have completed 90 credit hours and have at least an overall 2.5 GPA with at least a 3.0 GPA in their major; graduate students must have completed at least 15 graduate credit hours with at least a 3.3 GPA for all attempted course work toward the degree; the internship opportunity must be related to the student´s field of study and requires a minimum of 135 hours of supervised work.
Our students´ field of study varies through the various disciplines in business. Undergraduate students have the choice to major in Accounting or Management Information Systems; or Business Administration with a concentration in Business Administration, International Economics, Finance, Management, or Marketing. Graduate students may obtain their Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in Accounting, Information Systems, International Business (taught in English or Spanish), International Banking and Finance, International Trade Economics, Logistics, Management, or Marketing; MBA-International Trade (MBA-IT); Master of Professional Accountancy (MPAcc); or Master of Science in Information Systems (MS-IS).

Once we receive the required information and route it for proper approval, we will notify you if the position has been approved. If approved, we will advertise the position to our students and gather the pool of applicants. All eligible resumes will be forwarded for the organization´s review and final selection.
If the organization wishes to conduct an interview, we can assist in providing the facilities to conduct the interview on campus if desired.
