| Conducted
in Spanish. May begin with Renaissance and Baroque thinkers
such as Vives, Victoria, Las Casas, Fray Luis de León, and
Saavedra Fajardo, then the writers and intellectual institutions of
the eighteenth century, including Jovellanos, Cadalso, Feijó,
and then post-Napoleonic thought, beginning with the querella calderoniana
and culmination in the writings of Menéndez y Pelayo and the
Generation of 1898. |
