Plant
ecology is a course that covers the interactions between plants and
the environment. Important aspects of this interaction include
soil ecology, mineral nutrition, competition, avoidance of predation
and reproductive strategies. The local Tamaulipan Scrub will
serve as the habitat where field techniques in evaluating the abundance
and diversity of plants will be taught. Prerequisites:
BIOL 1406 and BIOL 1407.
