| Analysis
of recent and historical issues in Latin American economics, including
economic development and its relation to poverty, schooling, the informal
sector, agrarian issues, sustainable development; inflation; debt;
trade; regional integration; infrastructure development; privatization
and entrepreneurial activity; and stabilization and structural reform
using case studies from Latin America. The focus of this course is
on policy analysis rather than theory development. Prerequisites:
ECO 1301 and ECO 2301
or ECO 2302. |
