Bilingual Oral Language Assessment and Development

Three semester hours

This course focuses on: (1 )the nature of language and dialects; (2) language characteristics of Spanish and English; (3) influences of languages on each other; (4) first and second language acquisition processes; (5) general principles for developing language proficiency. Prerequisites: EDBE 3310 or EDBE 5310, graduate standing with six semester hours of advanced education.
