MINOR IN SOCIOLOGY

Sociology is the study of social life and the social causes and consequences of human behavior. A minor in Sociology complements many majors by developing student's understanding of the nature of society and social relationships as these affect them in their personal and professional lives.

 
The general objectives of this program are to provide the student with:

1  An understanding of the causes and consequences of social inequality;

2  An understanding of the forces of social change; and
3  An understanding of how race, gender and social class affect an individual's life chances.
