Dusty's Junior University Summer Camp 2019

DROP OFF AND PICK UP PROCEDURES 1. Parents need to fill out the “Student Registration Form” to provide information on who will be dropping off/picking up children from the camp. 2. We request 2 primary pickup designees and 1 emergency pick up designee. 3. The designated drop off/pick up location is the curve in front of the Student Center for all students for both morning and afternoon. a. First day of camp TAMIU PD will be directing traffic. 4. DROP OFF TIME: 7:45 AM – 8:00 AM 5. The students must be received and acknowledged by a Dusty’s Junior U Camp staff member. 6. Late arrivals: must be escorted by parent to STC 119 . a. Parents must sign student in with Program Aide 7. STUDENTS ARE TO BE PICKED UP NO LATER THAN 3:45 PM unless in Aftercare. 8. Aftercare: Parents are to sign out their children in the Student Center room 119 . Children picked up after end time of 5:30 p.m. will be charged a fee. CLASS SCHEDULES 1. Class changes will not be made during camp. 2. Class size is limited to 20 students no exceptions. 3. Once 20 students are signed up, the system will not allow any further registrations. 4. If class does not make, we will select a class for the camper. DRESS CODE 1. Summer Camp participants are NOT allowed to wear short shorts, tank tops or spaghetti straps. T-shirts must have appropriate logos. If dress code is violated, parents will be called to bring an appropriate change of clothes. 2. No flip-flops due to risk of tripping and falling. EARLY RELEASE/EMERGENCIES 1. Parents/Guardian must report to the Office of Continuing Education located in the Student Center Room 119 if picking up their child early. Manager or Coordinators will be contacted to bring child/children to the office. **Parents are NOT allowed to go near or into the classrooms due to TAMIU Campus Programs for Minor Policies. 2. Parents MUST sign out their child before taking them home. 3. Call the Office of Continuing Education if you need to get in contact with your child and we will get your student to call from a university phone. a. In the event of an emergency situation we will immediately contact you. b. If your child is feeling ill, we will take him/her to Health Services and you will be contacted. c. Be aware that if this happens you may have to come pick up your child. Additionally, no medicine can be administered to your child. 4. Ensure medical information is complete and accurate and all relevant information is provided to staff for the campers well-being. POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
