Professional Development TAMIU ARC's mission of developing a community of scholars placing greater value on graduate coursework and research, led to the development of Professional Development Program. These workshops will be conducted by both accomplished TAMIU Faculty and partners from other institutions. Content varies from core competencies such as writing, presentation skills, to multiple course enhancement workshops on new research technology, methodology, and even how to publish in academic journals Spr ing 2020 Schedu le: Developing Posters March 7 (10am-noon) Developing Oral Presentations March 7 (1-3pm) Summer Graduate Research March 23 (5:30-6:30pm) Refworks Workshop April 2 (1pm & 6pm) Research Boot camp Summer 2020 Summer Research Program The Summer Faculty Development Program aims at developing a rich milieu where faculty upon returning from their summer development experience, will be able to enrich their research and teaching at the graduate level. Travel and living support is available for up to 7 weeks. For tenured or tenure-track faculty member with at least two years of service at TAMIU by the end of Spring 2020 semester. Preference will be given for disciplines within the TAMIU ARC First Year Graduate Success Program (Communications, Criminal Justice, Mathematics, Political Science, Psychology, and Sociology) and Biology.
