Planetarium’s ‘Santa,’ ‘Season of Light’ Ending

Last Holiday Shows of ‘Santa’ and ‘Season
of Light’ Nearing at TAMIU Planetarium

The chance to start a new holiday tradition is coming to a close at Texas A&M International University.

The University’s last showings of “Santa Over Laredo” and “Season of Light,” two films that combine astronomy and holiday traditions, will be Thursday, December 21 and Friday, December 22 at TAMIU’s Lamar Bruni Vergara Science Center (LBVSC) Planetarium.

General admission tickets cost $5 and tickets for TAMIU students, faculty and staff and children under 12 are $4. Those buying a ticket for a second showing on the same day save $2 off the second ticket.

The University will close for the holidays at noon on Friday, Dec. 22.  Offices will reopen on Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2007.

Spring 2007 classes begin Tuesday, Jan. 16.
