TAMIU Career Services Hosts All Majors Fair Wednesday
Whether you’re a recent University graduate, an impending graduate, or even considering a potential career change, Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) is inviting career seekers to its Fall 2019 All Majors Fair Wednesday, Oct. 23 from 1 - 4 p.m. at the Student Center Ballroom.
While students are encouraged to attend, the fair is open to the public.
Over 30 employers will be in attendance representing various industries. Several graduate school programs also will be in attendance.
Employers present at the All Majors Fair include the City of Laredo, Department of Family and Protective Services, Doctors Hospital of Laredo, Entravision, H-E-B, Houston Police Department, Laredo Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, New York Life, Texas Department of Public Safety – Crime Lab, Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, and more.
During the Fair, employers will meet with prospective employees to discuss current hiring needs, qualifications for job openings, required certifications needed and any job-related questions.
Those attending should bring copies of their resume and should dress in business casual attire as job recruiters will be conducting on-site interviews.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for students, alumni, and the public to meet with multiple employers in person, learn about the positions they offer and possibly interview onsite -- all under one roof,” explained Yelitza Howard, director of Career Services.
TAMIU’s Career Services offers a range of services that includes creating resumes and cover letters, practicing interviewing skills and access to Dusty Works, an employment tool. Services are available to students, parents, alumni, job recruiters, and University faculty and staff members.
