Help us ring in the holiday season at Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) during the annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony Monday, Dec. 2 from 6 – 8 p.m.on the Sue and Radcliffe Killam Library front lawn.

The annual tree lighting commemorates the start of the holiday season at TAMIU and includes a ceremonial a visit by Ol’ St. Nick himself. Children and their families are encouraged to visit and take photos with Santa.

Admission is free and open to the community.

Fun activities are slated throughout the evening including activity stations where kids can write their “Letters to Santa,” a Candy Cane Toss, Pin the Nose on the Snowman, and much more.

After some fun and games, enjoy a cup of hot chocolate and holiday cookies, along with musical performances by local elementary school choirs.

The evening also will include three free screenings of the holiday-themed show, “Let It Snow” at the Lamar Bruni Vergara Planetarium. Showtimes are at 6:15, 6:50, and 7:25 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early as seating is limited.
