TAMIU Alumni Association Unveils New Brand

TAMIU Alumni Brand

Texas A&M International University’s (TAMIU) Office of Alumni Relations and Alumni Association is looking a little starry-eyed lately, all thanks to their new brand.

The new brand was unveiled during TAMIU’s Alumni at Home Virtual 50th Anniversary Celebration. Designed by the Office of Public Relations, Marketing, and Information Services, the redesigned brand includes a bold grey star that encircles and morphs into a maroon Dustdevil.

The redesigned brand introduces a new chapter of Alumni engagement while remaining consistent with current University branding guidelines, explained Jackelyne Briseño, associate director of Alumni Relations.

“We were very excited to bring the star element to the new brand. Our Alumni shine in excellence, leadership and service and the star is a great way to honor them. Having a Dustdevil within the star holds a lot of meaning as well. The Dustdevil rises from the ground up and we felt it’s a great way to tell the story of many first-generation students who made TAMIU their home and took advantage of the resources presented to them to get a degree,” said Briseño.

The new brand will be used during events, on officially-designated social media channels, on marketing materials and the Alumni website.  The branding is reserved exclusively for the Alumni Association business such as meetings, committees, events and other projects.

“We hope that all 23,000+  alumni build a strong connection to the new brand. For both the Office of Alumni Relations and the Alumni Association, this new brand presents a new opportunity to re-engage and reignite our alumni across the globe,” Briseño reiterated.

TAMIU is open and providing all services. Facial coverings are required inside and outside all campus buildings.  Social distancing and gathering standards are observed.

TAMIU’s Fall semester 2020 classes end Wednesday, November 25 with final exams delivered online Dec. 1 - 8.  Spring 2021 classes begin Monday, Jan. 25, 2021.
