Digital and print versions of the 2020 edition of Texas A&M International University’s (TAMIU) Annual Report are available   and shared on its social media channels.

TAMIU’s Annual Report  documents the commitment and resilience of its students, faculty, staff and alumni that enabled the University to move its legacy forward, said TAMIU president Dr. Pablo Arenaz.

“This has clearly been a year of unparalleled challenges,” Dr. Arenaz said, “but with commitment and resilience, we’ve been able to sustain our student-focused mission,  grow in new ways and advance our legacy.  Despite this year’s challenges,  we added three new degrees,  set a record Fall enrollment of 8,525 students, welcomed 20 new faculty members, graduated 1800 students and stepped up on multiple fronts to help our community combat the  COVID-19 Pandemic.”

The award-winning publication looks at the past year of student, faculty, alumni, staff and community accomplishments  -- as well as the immeasurable kindness and generosity of University donors and partners. Students, for example, met their 50,000 Service Hour Challenge, a special feat during this challenging time and part of the University’s 50thAnniversary Celebration.

Among Report highlights are profiles of distinguished Alumni Award recipients Dr. Norma Elia Cantú (’73) and Dr. Henry Cuellar (’82), 2020 Alumni Rising Star Award recipients and TAMIU’s first Fulbright Arts Award winner, Julio Obscura (’14). An expansive infographic captures the University’s COVID-19 Pandemic response.

Also offered: insight on the University’s transition to virtual and distanced offerings, research and outreach efforts, updates on Alumni Dustdevil Athletes, and special features on University donors and their motivation in helping TAMIU.

TAMIU has augmented its traditional print Annual Report edition with a digital publication since 2012.  The online version replicates the look and feel of the print version, complete with pages that “flip.” The online version also hyperlinks to expanded content.
