When potential students are considering their university destination, they start their search where just about everything begins these days… on the internet.

That’s why having a website that can address potential student concerns and  needs is crucial.  And in an age of ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic response, it’s vital that such sites offer a fluid sense of connection, experience and information.

To better provide this, Texas A&M International University’s (TAMIU) Office of Recruitment  and School Relations has launched an optimized and redesigned website to help students quickly access the information and interaction they need. The site is located at https://www.tamiu.edu/prospect/

Jessica Treviño, director of the Office of Recruitment and School Relations, said the website reflects a commitment to student service.

“The redesigned website establishes a clear service commitment.  It defines TAMIU as affordable, accessible and academically excellent -- and offers external measures that affirm this.   It then provides tools to quickly help students calculate their tuition, investigate scholarships and apply for financial aid.

“The experience continues with catalog-linked explorations of TAMIU possibilities for undergraduate, graduate and online degrees and certificates, and spotlight features on students and their individual program insights.  A dynamic map also provides a personal interaction opportunity with a TAMIU representative, including online scheduling.

Treviño said the site feature that she is most proud of is the immersive digital resource center dubbed the “Future Dustdevil Hub.”

“The best decisions are based on accurate and available information. This web component is really our effort to cut through the noise and provide practical advice with actionable steps. It’s home to interactive workshops, one-on-one info sessions, interactive guidebooks and important updates,” she explained.

Treviño worked collaboratively  with the University’s Office of Public Relations, Marketing and Information Services and web specialist Edelmiro Santos to create the new site.
