The Texas A&M International University Small Business Development Center (TAMIU-SBDC) is now enrolling its Spring 2021 cohort of the Small Business Management Program.

The TAMIU-SBDC developed the Small Business Management Program to help meet the needs of current small business owners and aspiring small business owners.

Presented in flexible morning and evening VIRTUAL sessions, this interactive program helps participants build essential business skills and knowledge on how to run a successful business.

TAMIU-SBDC director Norma L. Rodríguez said the Program is about enhancing a foundation for success.

“Completion of this program, which begins Tuesday, March 23, will enhance management skills and provide a good foundation for success. In addition to the 10-course series and two online courses, our Certified Business Advisors will guide participants through the program via a goal planning session. The enrollment period runs through Sunday, April 25,” Rodríguez explained.

Among topics participants will cover are: the art of starting a business, anatomy of a business plan, managing cash flow, keeping the books, understanding credit and budgeting, small business tax strategies, human resource policies and issues, branding and digital marketing basics and legal issues for entrepreneurs, among others.

The Course is taught virtually through Cisco WebEx. Computer and reliable internet access are necessary to participate. Cost is $200.
