AEP Texas Supports TAMIU Students
with $9,000 Scholarship Gift

Texas A&M International University students will benefit from a new scholarship gift of $9,000 provided by the AEP Texas, Laredo office. (photo)

The scholarship will support student scholarships managed by the University's Scholarship Committee.

Olga Maldonado, AEP Texas region manager for community affairs, said the gift is representative of AEP Texas' commitment to its service community.

"We are proud of our service to Laredo, and proud of our hometown University.  This gift affirms our commitment to betterment through higher education and to TAMIU students today and tomorrow," Maldonado said.

Candy Hein, TAMIU vice president for institutional advancement, applauded AEP Texas' corporate partnership.

"We appreciate AEP Texas' generosity and encourage others to follow their impressive lead," Hein said.
