Since the fall of 2015, we have helped empower Dustdevils in different ways, including establishing the first scholarship endowment in TAMIU history.
Some of the newest traditions brought to TAMIU thanks to SPC include Random Acts of Kindness Week, Penny Wars, and #TAMIUGivingTuesday.
We inspire students to give back to TAMIU and join us in our mission to advance the University and student philanthropic support.
Every fall semester, all colleges and schools at TAMIU "go to war." The objective is to raise the most funds by donating spare change to your college. Since 2015, over $8,500 has been donated! Previous winners include the College of Arts & Sciences and University College.
Class Giving Campaign
Started by students, for students in 2016, the Class Giving Campaign provides graduating students with the opportunity to say thank you give back. Students do this by making a gift of $25 in support of the Dustdevil P.R.I.D.E. Scholarship. In total, close to 1,500 students have donated!
Random Acts of Kindness Week
This staple SPC event occurs every spring. For the whole week, we not only dedicate ourselves to committing acts of kindness, but we also inspire others to do the same. Previous activities include handing our midterm goodie bags, free hugs day, and spot a rock!
