Gloria Guerra is a fourth-generation baker who makes unique cakes with a taste of heaven. Gloria and Isacc started a home-based bakery in 2013 and, in 2019, expanded to a storefront location. With assistance from Certified Business Advisor Tina Rodriguez, Isacc and Gloria prepared their business plan and financial projections to secure an SBA 504 loan.
In 2019 Cakes of Glory was recognized by the Small Business Administration San Antonio District Office as the Family-Owned Small Business of the Year at the annual SBA National Small Business Week awards event, where top entrepreneurs are recognized for their achievements.
Gloria and Isaac have been clients since 2013 and continue to work with Tina Rodriguez in utilizing the TAMIU SBDC services and resources. They also completed and graduated from the Small Business Management Program.
