Meet Dr. Milton Mayfield
If you are a College of Business Administration graduate chances are that you remember Dr. Milton Mayfield who since 1995 continues to affect students’ lives with his expertise, teaching style and eclectic personality. Dr. Mayfield and his wife Jackie moved to Laredo in 1995 to join the faculty at TAMIU teaching management and decision sciences courses. They have served as co-chairs of the Department of Management and Marketing-guiding the department through the accreditation process. He and his wife are consultants for a local business and collaborate in their scholarly writings.
Kudos! Following his parents footsteps, current student Gilbert R. Rios, a theology and history teacher at St. Augustine High School, enjoys playing golf and watching basketball games. Gilbert is the son of Mr. Gilberto Rios '79 and Mrs. Yolanda Rios ' 80.
Congratulations on your newest endeavor! Fernando Ortega, Jr. '98 and his partner George Mendez recently opened the doors to a warehouse feed store in Laredo Ranch Heights.

Martha E. Maldonado and Cesar E. Vela Jr. '98 announced their engagement and forthcoming marriage for March 31, 2007.
Christina L. Palizo '05 and Andres A. Arreguin '05 have set the date for their wedding for February 10, 2007 at San Luis Rey Church in Laredo, TX. Christina and Andres are both registered nurses; Christina works for Doctors Hospital and Andres works for the Laredo Medical Center.
Maria del Pilar Douglas ' 00 and Gabriel Martinez ' 03 have announced their engagement and plans for a wedding on July 28, 2007 at Christ the King Church in Laredo, TX.
