	Alums in the News Alex Soler, TAMIU student, left receives a check for $500 from Greg Morgensen, chief operating officer of Paul Young Auto Group for an attempted half court free throw shot to win a car. Hilario Cavazos Mario Zaragoza Congratulations to Hilario Cavazos '86 and Mario A. Zaragoza '99 who were recently elected regional president and vice president, respectively, of the Texas State Teachers Association. Blanca Balboa '75 was elected treasurer. Their two-year terms take effect July 15. Adolfo "Popo" Gonzalez '72 was honored by Ruiz Homes as educator of the week. Currently, Adolfo is a master sergeant with the Texas Army National Guard and currently is employed with United High School as a NovaNET facilitator.

Engagements Cordelia "Cordy" Solis '03 and Alvin Normandia are engaged to be married their wedding is scheduled for July 8, 2006. Sylvia E. Solis '03 and Jose M Dominguez are planning a wedding for July 15, 2006. Audery Joelle Vignuales and Javier Jose Murillo have chosen June 3, 2006 for their wedding. They will wed in Rodilhan France. The couple will reside in Houston. Sandra Denise Ramos '05, and Victor Alejandro Uribe, III will exchange wedding vows on June 16, 2006. Sara Alicia de Hoyos '74 is engaged to Manuel Rafael Santos. They will marry on July 21, 2006.
