IBC has hired Jessica Orbe '99 who will assume the role of assistant cashier and Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) coordinator. Orbe is an active member of the Institute of Internal Auditors. She received a BBA degree in management from TAMIU and is currently pursuing a MBA with a concentration in management at the University. Orbe will be responsible for compliance and implementation of policies and procedures related to the BSA program. She has five years of banking experience and joins IBC from another local financial institution where she served as an internal auditor.
IBC has promoted Gabriela Elizondo to the position of assistant vice president. Elizondo is actively involved as a board member of the UT Exes’ Laredo Chapter and has a BBA from the University of Texas in Austin. She is currently pursuing her MBA from TAMIU and has attended Texas Bankers Association Compliance School and several other industry-related conferences and seminars. In her new role Elizondo will be responsible for managing the customer service department, participating in various corporate committees and initiatives and assisting with project management and implementation. Elizondo began her caree``````r with IBC Bank and has 12 years of experience in the banking industry. She most recently held the position of assistant cashier with IBC.
