Superintendent Certificate Online Program

MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of the superintendent certification program will be to provide students the opportunity to study the complexities of district wide operations including, academic, operations, fiscal, human resource, community relations, and governance. Additionally district- wide comprehensive assessment of the educational process in school systems that includes the focus on gathering, disaggregating, and analyzing data to develop appropriate plans of action for understanding classroom, school, district and state assessment processes.

GOALS

  • The program will prepare superintendent students to become effective district instructional Leaders
  • The program will prepare superintendent students to become effective community relations leaders
  • The program will prepare superintendent students to become skilled and knowledgeable chief administrative officers.

Cooperative Doctoral Ed. D. Programs in Educational Administration and Curriculum & Instruction between
Texas A&M University and Texas A&M International University

MISSION STATEMENT

The Cooperative Doctoral  ( Ed. D. ) Programs will prepare students for careers in K-12 schools, Educational Service Centers, and higher education through a rigorous research-based program involving training in educational administration and curriculum & Instruction. The programs provide access for an underserved region of the state to doctoral level education through a combination of face-to-face courses taught on the TAMIU and TAMU campuses and through a limited number of distance courses.

Currently there are two cohorts of doctoral students in both educational administration and curriculum and instruction going through the programs and there are no immediate plans for a new cohort in the near future.
