"WON 1st place in three years"

dr brown class 2014

College of Education students from Texas A&M International University participated in Laredo's 2014 Polar Plunge event. This annual event raises money for the Special Olympics. Students raised pledges by being brave and daring enough to jump into the City pool as it was filled with frigid water! The event took place on Friday, March 7, 2014, when the water temperature was very cold and a wind made it even colder when they got out! The College of Education team received a trophy for raising the highest amount of money for the event. The total amount raised was $3166.75.  Pictured above is the award-winning Polar Plunge team!
