Congratulations to our 12 MSN Family Nurse Practitioner graduates, pictured here at our December, 2010 Hooding Ceremony. The gold hood color represents the discipline of nursing. The students wear maroon stoles with an embroidered TAMIU emblem and the School of Nursing pin attached. Upon completion of a national certification examination, these nurses have the designation "Advanced Practice Nurse" and are certified to diagnose and treat illnesses across the lifespan. Advanced Practice Nurses practice under their own license.

May 1, 2011 is the deadline to apply for scholarships from the LBV fund.
