Summer Camps

Self Defense Workshop (+18)

Learn the basics of self defense. You should know how to free yourself from choke hold or to defend yourself if someone comes at you with a knife or gun. You have the right to feel safe and secure. We have partnered with Gonzalez Karate Academy to bring you this great opportunity to campus.

Kinder Camp 2011 (Ages 3-5)

Date: June 6- June 30, Monday - Thursday

Time: 8:30AM- 1:30PM

Subjects Covered: Art & Crafts, Math, and Reading

Location: Student Center 225

A time for your child to grow, learn, and make new friends! This camp will focus on Reading, Math, and Arts and Crafts. The instructors will teach them through projects and hands on activities. Not only will your child have fun learning and making new friends but they will also decorate a t-shirt and ID Card to remember the good times. Please make sure your child has a hardy breakfast in the morning. It helps them focus.

Elementary School Camp 2011 (Grades 1st-5th)

Date: July 5- July 28, Monday - Thursday

Time: 8:30AM- 2:30PM

Subjects Covered: Math, Reading, Writing, and Art & Music

Location: Student Center 225, 230, & 231

The summer is a time for fun and games and to explore new things. At the Elementary School Camp your child will get a chance to use their artistic abilities, create music, practice math and writing and find new worlds through reading!  Our instructors will ensure your child develops their creativity and makes new friends along the way. We will provide your child a t-shirt to remember the friends they make and a goodie bag. We ask that you provide your child with a sack lunch or put money on their ID card in order to purchase lunch. Middle School Camp 2011 (Grades 6th- 8th)

Date: July 5- July 28, Monday - Thursday

Time: 8:30AM- 2:30PM

Subjects Covered: Math, Reading, Writing, and Technology

A child can lose a wealth of information over the summer if they do not practice what they know. The Middle School Camp will provide your child the opportunity to use what they already know and gain knowledge even before school starts in the fall! We will use innovative methods to teach them, and we will work closely with them in areas where they need the most help. We will provide your child a T-shirt to remember the friends they made, and a goodie bag. SAT & College Prep(Grades 9th-12th)

Dates: Session 1: June 6-16, Monday- Thursday

Session 2: August 8-18, Monday- Thursday

Time: 8:30AM- 1:30PM

Subjects Covered: SAT Material, College Research, FAFSA, and Staying Focused

Location: Student Center 230 &120

The SAT and College Prep camp will focus on several components your teenager needs to start focusing on. This includes the material covered in the SAT, how to begin researching and applying for colleges, FAFSA, and some tips on staying focused on school. FIRST  Lego League 2011 (Ages 5-9)

Date: TBA, Monday - Thursday

Time: 8:30AM- 1:30PM

Subjects Covered: Robotics

Location: TBA

This is a time for child to begin an exploration of creating objects of their own design. They will be encouraged to succeed and create by our amazing volunteers who are part of FIRST and compete throughout the academic year. NXT Robotics (10-14)

Date: TBA, Monday - Thursday

Time: 8:30AM- 1:30PM

Subjects Covered: Robotics

Your child will get the opportunity to program a robot that will need to execute several challenges on a board. They will work out the kinks of their program and construct a robot of their own design to successfully execute the challenge. They will be encouraged to succeed and create by our amazing volunteers who are part of FIRST and compete throughout the academic year.Technology is the future!
