Second Year Student Support Services


The following support services were provided by Engaging Sophomores staff:


The Advising and Mentoring Center (AMC) provides freshmen and sophomore students with appropriate tools and services towards the building of better and stronger paths.  The staff of the AMC encourages both academic and social exploration through the following services:

  • Sophomore advising  
  • Help improve academic status for students on probation/suspension
  • Keep students updated on current academic changes



The Office of Career Services offers career counseling and personal assessments to help you learn about your personality and interests.  We can help you decide on a major and direct you towards the right career path.  We also offer the following services to our sophomores:

  • Strong Interest Inventory- powerful tool that helps you to make satisfying decisions about your career and education.
  • Resume/personal statement workshops
  • Mock job interviews
  • Job/Internship opportunities
  • Numerous resources on career exploration



The Office of Student Counseling & Health Services provides individual, couples and group counseling and wellness workshops for the mind, body and soul. Our goal is to empower students to be capable and competent adults while adjusting to challenges and transitions of University life.
