| An
examination of how humans adapt to change, with an emphasis on the
impact of development of non-industrial societies. Issues
include the impact of development at the household level, forced resettlement,
environmental degradation, and cultural extinction. The underlying
goal is to explore ways that anthropological methods and theories
contribute to understanding and solving problems facing human populations
everywhere. |
