Money and Banking
 
Three semester hours  (SP)
 
An introductory examination of the principles, problems and structure of the monetary system of the United States.  The material to be covered will include:  the operations of commercial banks, the organization of the Federal Reserve System, the Federal Reserve’s regulation and control of the nation’s supply of money and credit, and the cost of those funds.  Written and/or oral presentations are required. Prerequisites:  ECO 2301 and ECO 2302.
