A
study of the central period of classical Greek history and the Hellenistic
Age (5th to 1st centuries B.C.) Combined with the study of the
central period of the Roman history (1st century B.C. to 2nd century
A.D.) Strong emphasis will be placed upon the development of
political institutions in both civilizations and upon cultural relationships
between the two. Prerequisite: six hours of history or
permission of instructor.
