Work Professional Values and Ethics

| This
course is an elective. Review of basic social work values and of the
NASW Code of Ethics. The rights of various client groups such as children,
the elderly, people with physical and mental disabilities, and immigrants,
will be considered in relation to the Code of Ethics. The examination
of ethical dilemmas that arise across social work settings (i.e.,
in medical, child protection, and juvenile justice setting) and in
organizations will be used as case examples. Review of state licensing
law, including levels of licensure, eligibility for licensure, and
the requirements to maintain licensure will be presented. |
