VISITING POLICIES Parents will be allowed to have lunch with their children but must meet the following requirements:  Parents/visitors must sign ou t their children with their assigned Classroom Aide.  Parents/visitors must sit with their child separated from the rest of the campers (due to safety reasons).  Parents/visitors must return their child back to their assigned Classroom Aide and sign them back in.  Please follow the scheduled lunch time. We ask that you avoid time conflicts with scheduled classes. Do not go over allotted lunch time. If you need to communicate with your child, you will need to come by the office first and then we will call for your child to be brought to the office. Arrangements should be made prior to start of camp if child/children will be visited frequently. WHAT TO BRING 1. Students MUST bring a packed lunch if they are not purchasing meal packages. We are not responsible for lost change. Therefore we do not allow the use of cash to purchase food/snacks. 2. SNACKS: Students are allowed and encouraged to bring a snack for the morning & afternoon; lunch will be after 11:00 AM for Kinder and at 11:30 AM for elementary and middle school. Under our regulations, children must be monitored at all times throughout the day. Therefore, classroom aides do not have time to take children to purchase a snack from the vending machine. Additionally, money can be misplaced. a. Important: NO SHARING! It is important you let your children know that no sharing is allowed for health safety purposes. Some children may have food allergies. 3. We encourage students to bring a water bottle to refill throughout the day. Keep in mind that Laredo summers are very hot. Please send your children with WATER bottles to help us keep your children hydrated. 4. All class materials will be provided by the Office of Continuing Education to use in class time. LUNCH PROCEDURES 1. Students will have 2 options for lunch: Bring their own lunch from home or purchase a meal plan through the Office of Continuing Education. 2. Students with a meal plan will be walked by a teacher aide to the food court and will guide them in choosing their meals. Teacher Aides will monitor camp participants at lunch. 3. Meal plan must be purchased before camp sessions start. a. Deadline for the month of June will be May 27th b. Deadline for the month of July will be June 27th. 4. Emergency vouchers (if required) can be purchased at a rate of $10.00/day.
