TAMIU All-State Audition Clinics

You must complete a registration form to participate in the clinics.

9:00-10:20: trumpets, bassoons, trombones, flute
10:30-11:50: percussion, tuba/euphonium

10:00-11:30: horn, clarinet/sax, cello/bass, violin/viola






Scholarship audition dates are:

  • November 1, 2018
  • February 9, 2019
  • March 23, 2019
  • April 20, 2019 (during annual Mariachi festival)
  • April 25, 2019

Audition Form

Note: Audition times are normally scheduled at TAMIU on Saturdays between 9:00 am - 1:00 pm. Choose 2 solos of contrasting styles. Singers, please indicate on the audition form under "honors and awards" if you need a pianist for your audition. 

Please fill out the online audition form and contact Ms. Adriana Garcia in the Fine Arts Office to arrange an audition time per email or call (956) 326-2654. You are advised to also contact the appropriate faculty member of your instrument/voice for suggested audition music.


Welcome to TAMIU's Music web page. We are housed in the Center for Fine and Performing Arts where you have the opportunity to study with a faculty of leading professionals in their respective fields. We offer three Bachelor's degrees in music. They are outlined by semester here. Our program is housed in the Center for Fine and Performing Arts. Program highlights include:

  • 800 seat Recital Hall
  • 450 seat Theatre

Music degrees offered include:

  • Bachelors of Music with a Major in Music Instrumental/Vocal Track (BM)
  • Bachelors of Music with a Major in Music With All Level Certification Instrumental/Vocal Track (BM)
  • Bachelor of Arts (Major or Minor in Music, Double Major with music major option)
  • Minor in Music
