F R OM T H E D I R E C TO R ’ S D E S K In the area of course design, our instructional designers continue to assist faculty on the certification of their courses through the Quality Matters (QM) program. To date, 96 courses have received this prestigious certification and over 200 faculty members have been trained to apply the QM standards to their courses. Instructional designers are available to provide personalized assistance through consultations and small group trainings. As outlined in this Report, our office also offered trainings to faculty and students on a variety of technology applications. One application that gained popularity among students this past year was Eventzee, a scavenger hunt experience that took over 1,336 participants on a journey to complete tasks and accumulate points. In addition, the number of ECHO recordings was at an all-time high at almost 1,980! Finally, I would like to acknowledge the guidance and support of our Distance Education and Instructional Technology Committee (DEITC). Their guidance is instrumental to the success of our activities and their support in communicating our services to their respective Colleges invaluable.
