Accessibility Plan Access ibi l i ty 29 The Texas A&M International University Plan for Accessibility Compliance of Online and Hybrid Courses (further known as “The Plan”) was accepted by the Distance Education Information Technology Committee (DEITC) in September of 2016, and was approved with amendments at the April 2017 meeting. The Plan incorporates federal policy, state guidelines and The Texas A&M University System regulations with regard to persons with disabilities, and the use of Electronic and Information Resources (EIR). The Plan outlines TAMIU practices already in place, including trainings and services. It also lists several recommendations, including continued collaboration with sister A&M institutions to share resources ensuring forward progress with respect to accessibility. 230 employees have completed the Accessibility Matters trainings.
