EMERGENCY NOTIFICATIONS

TAMIU provides an emergency notification system called DustyALRT that is used to deliver emergency messages to students and employees via text message or e-mail. TAMIU will use the system only to provide official notification of University emergencies, closures or cancellations. It provides an innovative addition to the existing methods that the University has in place to alert the community to emergency situations.

Please note that although the initial setup uses your Net ID and password, a new set of credentials is created in the process. This means that if you change your Net ID password, your DustyALRT password will remain the same as when you first created it. Subscribers to DustyALRT will pay no fees for the service, other than any regular fees associated with text messaging services. DustyALRT is for emergency messaging only and will not be used to distribute advertising or other unsolicited content.
