2022 Grants Academy

The Office of Research and Sponsored Projects (ORSP) at TAMIU is proud to offer a year-long (2022) STEM Grants Academy with Partnership with Hanover Research. The academy is designed to support ten faculty in the development and submission of competitive extramural funding that will advance individual investigators’ research goals and career development. The Academy offers informative and interactive group instruction, delivered in a cohort model, tailored to the needs and interests of participants. Expectations of STEM Grants Academy Cohort Members include:

  • Actively participate in three grants workshops to be scheduled in the spring, summer, and fall of 2022.
  • Check-in with Hanover grants consultants for several hour-long sessions during the year.
  • Provide required materials prior to each interaction with Hanover
  • Participate in follow-up conversation(s) after results of Hanover work has been delivered
  • Submit at least one grant proposal after consultation with Hanover

ORSP would like to also acknowledge and thank the TAMIU Advancing Research and Curriculum Initiative (TAMIU ARC) awarded by the US Department of Education Developing Hispanic-Serving Institutions Program (Award # P031S190304) and the TAMIU Center for Earth and Environmental Studies (CEES). Significant financial support from TAMIU ARC and CEES has made the STEM Grants Academy possible.
