Make a Difference Week is the official kick-off to promote Make a Difference Day. The Office of Student Conduct and Community Engagement together with the Leaders Organizing Volunteer Events Committee (L.O.V.E) host several information booths to promote local community actions and service opportunities.
Oct. 17 - Make a Difference Monday: Partnership TAMIU: An Alliance for Good – is the official kick-off to Make a Difference week. Local agencies will sign a Memorandum of Agreement with the University to make an official commitment to service in our local community. STC Rotunda 10AM - 2PM
Oct. 18 – Dog Toy Tuesday – partnership with The City of Laredo Animal Care Facility to create toys for pets and promote their adoption. STC Rotunda 11AM - 2PM
Oct. 19 - Color Their World Wednesday – partnership with Casa Misericordia Children Shelter to donate coloring books and crayons as well as a banner to inspire children and motivate higher education. STC Rotunda 11AM - 2PM
Oct. 20 - Thoughtful Thursday – partnership with senior care facility to promote love and care for elderly by creating cards and donations. STC Rotunda 11AM - 2PM
Oct. 21 - Film Friday – partnership with Service Learning with the showing of "The Starfish Throwers." During this event, a fundraise for Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) TAMIU Mobile Pack will take place. WHTC 111 at 1:00 PM.
Oct. 22 - Make a Difference Day - partnership with The City of Laredo Animal Care Facilities to beautify and create a more inviting center for animals and visitors in order to increase adoption rate. Projects include:

In 2010, Texas A&M International University established its first Make a Difference event. Over 150 students gathered to serve the Laredo-Webb community to make a difference.
