Available online! Meet one-on-one with a tutor to review course concepts and foster your learning. ULC tutors are knowledgeable in course content and promote independent learning during tutoring sessions. Sign-up for tutoring through the TAMIU Net Check-In App! Online tutoring is hosted through Microsoft Teams.
Join your classmates and friends to review course content. ULC tutors will supervise your group study sessions and assist by breaking down difficult content and discussing effective study techniques.
Join the weekly out-of-class study sessions to improve your course grade and knowledge! SI Leaders incorporate how to learn with what to learn in historically difficult courses. Check out our SI Schedule in the Supplemental Instruction page. All SI Sessions are currently hosted through Blackboard Collaborate.
Join our TSI Workshops during the summer to foster your understanding of mathematical concepts. Additional academic workshops are scheduled as requested by students, faculty, administration and the community, during summer sessions only.
Enrolled in DMAT? Get support from our tutors through online or face-to-face tutoring. Tutoring sessions will reinforce math concepts and help you as you navigate the self-paced KNEWTON modules.

MIssion Statement:
The TAMIU University Learning Center (ULC) is a student driven organization committed to providing the campus community with an array of academic support programs such as one-on-one tutoring, supplemental instruction, group tutoring and exam preparation workshops. In addition to these services, the ULC offers students flexible scheduling hours, a supportive learning environment and learning assistance models focused on student development and student-centered learning strategies. Overall, the ULC ensures all students at TAMIU develop an educational compass so they may experience academic growth, accomplish their educational goals, and ultimately, take responsibility for their own academic success.

Aligned with the university’s mission, the University Learning Center (ULC) aims to continuously improve the quality of our peer-led academic support services to prepare all TAMIU students for leadership roles within our local, state, national and global institutions. The ULC is steadfast in providing staff with a supportive working environment where tutors/SI leaders build social learning networks which consistently promote independent learning student success and effective communication between students, faculty, and staff.
