About Us

Our Mission

The mission of the TAMIU Office of Continuing Education (CE) is to engage the public by improving the quality of life through academic courses, facilitating conferences and workshops, providing personal enrichment courses, professional certificate and certification programs, facilitating Continuing Education  Units (CEUs), community outreach endeavors, and facilitating year-round programs for minors.

What We Can Offer

CE makes TAMIU educational resources available for non-credit education programs and conferences designed to promote lifelong learning, regardless of age, interest, or location.

TAMIU is a military friendly school.  We salute the men and women in our military and thank them for their service. The Office of Continuing Education partners with My Career Advancement Account (MYCAA).  MYCAA is a workforce development program that provides up to $4,000 of financial assistance to eligible military spouses who are pursuing a license, certification or Associate’s degree in a portable career field and occupation.  For more information, please contact us at 956-326-3068 or email

TAMIU faculty interested in conducting Continuing Education and/or professional development courses are encouraged to contact CE to discuss how we can work together. Please contact CE at 956.326.3068 or email

Continuing Education is available to assist in the development of face-to-face programs in collaboration with academic departments. Would you like assistance with your next Conference or Workshop? We also provide event planning and management services to other University offices and academic departments.

TAMIU American Heart Association CPR Training Center can provide CPR/First Aid training for University departments.
