•Make sure your student registers for a placement exam (THEA, TCOMP, ACCUPLACER)
offered at
TAMIU
. Please contact
TAMIU
’s Testing Center at 956.326.2131 for
more information.
•If your student is planning to live on campus, make sure to reserve his/her room. Our Office
of Housing and Residence Life at 956.326.1300 will be more than happy to help you with
the process.
•Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Please refer to the
Financial Aid Section on page four.
•“Dusty Camp,” our New Student Orientation Program, provides incoming freshmen
with the necessary information to be ready during their first semester. Several
sessions are available throughout the summer.
