A&M International Organizes Chamber Ensemble Concert Nov. 8

While preparations for Thanksgiving keep many busy, Texas A&M International University invites the community to sit back and enjoy a short break with an evening of classical music Wednesday, Nov. 8 from 7-8:30 p.m. in the Great Room of the Sue and Radcliffe Killam Library.

The A&M International Chamber Ensemble Concert will feature University music students performing from a selection of chamber music written by composers including Beethoven, Mozart and Haydn. The concert is free and open to the public.

Jennifer Cahill Clark, visiting assistant professor of music and concert organizer, said students will play the flute and string instruments.

"We designed this concert to give people a time to relax before the rush of the Holidays sets in," Cahill Clark said, "For the University community, this is also an ideal time to take a break one step ahead of the finals."

Cahill Clark is a new faculty member joining A&M International this year.

She is currently completing her doctorate at the University of North Texas. She holds her master of arts degree in music performance from Texas Christian University and her bachelor of music, also in music performance, from the University of North Texas.
