The Laredo native painted in oils and acrylics until 1977 when she found fluidity of expression in watercolor. In her artist’s statement, Quiros says that having studied and been influenced by various teaching masters, she finds inspiration in the nature, form and music of her world.

Accepted into juried shows in Texas, Colorado, South Carolina, Missouri, and Kansas, Quiros has displayed one of her watercolor pieces at the Contemporary Museum of Art in Nigata, Japan and has been featured in the Texas Watercolor Society publication, Fifty Years of Excellence and the summer edition of Watercolor Magazine. Her work has been on display at the Laredo Center for the Arts.

On Tuesday, Sept. 27, Quiros will visit with TAMIU students to talk about her work  and offer a printmaking demo from 1:30 - 3:15 p.m. in the CFPA Gallery.
