‘Origins of Life’ Showing at TAMIU LBV Planetarium

Take an inspirational journey through time and celebrate life on earth with “Origins of Life,” a new feature scheduled at Texas A&M International University's Lamar Bruni Vergara Planetarium.

The show is also scheduled for Friday, Sept. 14 at 6 and 7 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 15 at 6 p.m. It will also be presented Friday, Sept. 21 at 6 and 7 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 22 at 6 p.m., Friday, Sept. 28 at 6 and 7 p.m. and Saturday, Sept. 29 at 6 p.m.

General admission for this premium show is $6 and $5 for children, senior citizens, TAMIU students, alumni and employees.

“Origins of Life” explores some of the most profound questions of life science: the origins of life and the human search for life beyond earth. It starts with the Big Bang Theory and continues with prebiotic chemistry in the universe, formation of stars, formation of solar systems and first life on earth.

“Origins of Life” also covers the great extinctions, the search for primitive life beyond earth and many recent discoveries related to life science.

The next show scheduled to make its Laredo debut is Pink Floyd's “The Wall.”
