Career Seekers Invited to TAMIU All Majors Fair Nov. 29

Recent or impending college graduates are invited to attend the Texas A&M International University Fall 2018 All Majors Fair Thursday, Nov. 29 from 1-4 p.m. at the Student Center Ballroom. 

While students are encouraged to attend, the fair is open to the public.

Over 30 employers will be in attendance representing higher education, school districts, government agencies, retail service, banking, logistics, health and wellness, leisure and hospitality and other industries.

During the fair, employers will relay information regarding current hiring needs, qualifications for job openings, required certifications needed and any job-related questions.

Individuals attending this year’s fair are encouraged to bring copies of their resume and should dress in business casual attire as job recruiters will be conducting on-site interviews.

“These events tie into our University mission which is to lead, learn, and improve the quality of life for the citizens of the border region. Our office strengthens ties with employers to improve the quality of life of our community by providing local, regional, state, and national employment opportunities, thus creating a viable workforce impacting our local, regional, and state economy,” noted Cassandra Wheeler, TAMIU director of Career Services.

TAMIU’s Career Services offers a range of services, that includes creating resumes and cover letters, practicing interviewing skills and access to Dusty Works. Services are available to students, parents, alumni, job recruiters, and university faculty and staff members.
