SOCW 3305
Border Issues and Social Work.
Three semester hours.
This course presents the impact of historical, cultural, social, and political oppression. Environmental, economic and demographic factors related to the border region are examined in the context of generalist social work practice and service delivery. Prerequisite: Completion of or concurrent enrollment in SOCW 2361. Admission to pre-major or with permission of instructor or program director. May be taken by non majors with permission of the social work program director.
