PSYC 4321
Senior Psychology Practicum.
Three semester hours.
On an individual basis, during the senior year, psychology majors and/or gerontology minors will obtain hands-on experience in an applied setting such as a community mental health agency or educational institution. Those students pursuing the Gerontology minor will learn specifically in a site providing services to geriatric people. In addition to gaining supervised experience in an approved applied setting, students also participate in review sessions of psychology, demonstrate general psychological knowledge and submit a literature review. Prerequisites: Psychology majors must be in senior year and must have completed a minimum of twelve hours in psychology; gerontology minors must be in senior year and have completed a minimum of PSYC 3315 and PSYC 3307.
