Community Based Corrections
Three semester hours. (FL)
This course involves a survey of the types of sentences that provide alternatives to incarceration of offenders in prisons. We will examine intermediate punishments such as intensive supervised probation, restitution programs, house arrest and electronic monitoring as well as explore a variety of community treatment programs.
